The meet is Friday, October 5th. ACL Music Festival is taking place the same weekend. Getting in and out of Austin High is difficult in the afternoon, so we will depart and return from O’ Henry Middle School. The address is 2610 W. 10th Street, Austin, TX, 78703. Please arrive at

O'Henry at 6:30 am and we will depart at 6:45 am. Warmups will start at 8:00 and the meet should be over around 1:30 - 2:00 pm. After all the team entries have been submitted, the meet director will send a timeline which will give us a better idea of the meet finish time (but that will not be until Wednesday night before the meet at the earliest). Anderson High School is hosting this meet. We will need to provide 2 parent volunteers to help with timing.

Meet Address:  Waterloo Pool, 12332 FM 620 N, Austin, TX, 78750

Even though the pool is indoors, the teams are set up outside the pool. If your family has a canopy (pop-up) tent we could use, please email Coach Drew and let him know.  We could use at least 3-4.

Parking: Parking is limited, so you might need to find street parking nearby.

Concessions & Heat Sheets: There will be breakfast tacos and other food and drinks available. They usually have chicken sandwiches for sale in the afternoon too. Jolyn and Waterloo Swimming vendors will be there, so bring money if anyone wants/needs practice suits, goggles, etc. Heat sheets will be available for $2.

Diving: No diving at the meet this year.

Swimmers please make sure that you have the following items for the meet:

  1. Suit

  2. Goggles

  3. Towels

  4. $ for food and drink

  5. Team T-shirt

  6. Parka and team back pack (I’ll pass out back packs Wed. in classroom after practice)

  7. Anything else you deem important

10/2/18:  Some reminders and new information for the Trojan Invite this Friday!

Thank you to all the parents who brought goodie bag items for the meet! You can still drop your stuff off in the classroom tomorrow if you forgot to today.  I can use a few swimmer volunteers to help put the goodie bags together after school. We can knock it out pretty fast if there are a few of us. Let me know if you can help out. Thanks!

Reminder: We are meeting at 6:30 am at O' Henry Middle School on Friday and returning there after the meet. 2610 W. 10th St., 78703.

Swimmers leaving their cars at O'Henry while we're at the meet: the middle school kids do not have class, but the O' Henry teachers will be on campus for a professional development day. You will need to park on the street and not in any of the facility lots.

The timeline and psych sheets are attached. The meet host is still making and waiting for final editing, etc.  before he sends out the heat sheets. He will email them out sometime tomorrow. As it turns out, they are not selling heat sheets at the meet. I will print a bunch out tomorrow at school for the swimmers, maybe I'll have a few extra copies for parents. We should also have them on our website, so you can use your phone at the meet to access them. Remember: timeline is an estimate. Plan your arrival with the expectation that your son or daughter's event might be a little earlier or later than what it says on the timeline.

Facility rules: NO red or orange drinks of any kind at the meet.

We still need timers for the meet. Please sign-up  if you can help out. Now that you see the meet is supposed to end around 1:38 pm, it's not too bad and you can help out. We can always split up a shift too if need be.

Our suit order is not in yet. If you are waiting on it, please try to wear as plain a suit as possible, preferably black or maroon. Guys: need a "real" suit (jammer or speedo), no "trunks."

Please personalize your team backpacks in some way (without putting a sharpie to them. You will return them at the end of your Austin High Swimming career). Some kind of keychain, tags, etc. so you know it's your bag. I would sharpie your initials on the tag of your team t-shirt (and sweats when we get them) to keep track of it though. Even if you are good at keeping track of your stuff, others might not be and get your bag mixed up with yours.

Wear your team t-shirt and use your team bag at the meet.
